Lovely beds but missing everything else listed on the internet

I recently stayed at this location and was a little disappointed. On the internet they advertised this kids club so I was very interested since I would be travelling with my little ones. Outside of there being no kids club whatsoever not even the packets they described on the internet let alone the activities. The service was very good as far as anytime I called for something they were very prompt and made sure I recieved what ever I asked for. The health spa was really nice with a big jacuzzi. The rooms are very clean and the beds are really outstanding. The showers have 2 heads and as wonderful as the beds are. The price though was a heck of a lot for there to be no microwave in the room like the internet stated or kids club. It was basically just a nice room with starbucks coffee and a robe. No fridge or microwave actually.
- Pros: Beautiful decor, service, valet parking, beds, shower, health club
- Cons: No kids club, no microwave or refridgerator
Not a hotel for a vacation

Our first room we has had no internet what so ever! After an hour and a half of the staff trying they agreed to put us into another room. While they were trying to "fix" the internet I had unpacked and tried to find the book all hotel rooms have which tells you about the hotel it amenities dinning etc. I asked the maid in the room next to us and she showed me where the one in that room was ansaid to ask the front desk,
- Pros: Great beds
- Cons: no microwave, no fridge and ,no free wireless in your room

A quality business hotel

For those on business in Ft Lauderdale and the area, the Westin is a competent hotel. Not quite up to par with other westins, but the rooms have been recently redone..the heavenly beds are wonderful, there is a nice sized desk for working and a great fitness facilitiy. Its a little aged, but the staff is attentive and the rooms, while aging , are clean and well maintained...and its not in the tourist area of ft lauderdale which, as a business traveler, I appreicate
