Good Food....Long Wait by Susan G. at InsiderPages
Contributor at Insider Pages
This is one of those palces no matter what time you go there will be atleast a 30 minute wait. The do have lots of seating witha pretty quick turnover, but usually 30 or so people waiting ahead of you. The food is vary large portion. The lunch portions are also very big. The cheesecakes are devine. If you can save room.
Decadent cheesecakes and classic American cuisine makes this a popular chain.

In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.
Rude Staff and Poor Food.

Regular patrons know that embarking on dinner at The Cheesecake Factory on the weekend means you usually wait about 30 mins for a table and another 10 to be seated. The wait was not an issue in the least.
The server, however, was totally obnoxious. Upon serving the entrees I discovered my pasta was a bit muddled. My order was for penne pasta and I found various strands of spaghetti in my dish. This was a bit disconcerting since it implies that ether my dish was served with a dirty(used) spoon, it was cooked in a dirty saucepan, or it was cooked along with another pasta. Either way it was a turn off. To add insult to injury, when I brought it to the servers attention I received at rude, "so what do you want me to do with it?" I told him, I"'d like you to take it back to the kitchen because I'm through with it." He then asks, "would you like something else?" and I replied, "no thank you". Later in the evening he sarcastically refers to the coupling of a complimentary slice of cheesecake as "you mean like a piece of chicken" to a member in our party. Those of you that have experienced a masked racial slur would have been revolted. By the end of the night I had vowed to never set foot in the restaurant again. Of course the bill was comp'd and my entree removed but, the attitude and offensiveness of the server was enough to ruin my appetite.
- Pros: Good Food, Large Variety, Great Cheescake
- Cons: Poor Service, Long waits
Not what everyone makes it to be

food is fair - service is HORRIBLE!!! - Everytime I go here, I have to wait at least 10 minutes till my server gets to the table, and when they finally do, it takes another 10 minutes to get my food - the food is not good enough to wait that long - Its not that I would never go again - but only after work (10:30pm or later) that is when i only have to wait 8 minutes for my waiter!!
- Pros: meals are large, open later than other places
- Cons: service, parking
Good chain restaurant could polish service

First thing you notice is the wait, whenever you try going -- there will be one. Means that it's popular and must be good, right? Well, the enormous menu means that everyone will find something that they like. That being said, I have yet to find any signature dishes that I long for. The service is also often curt and unfriendly, and rushed during busy times. Obviously the cheesecakes are their signature desserts, but the portions seem to get smaller each year?!?
- Pros: Extensive menu, Cheesecake
- Cons: Long waits, Poor service
UNBELIEVABLE

THE CHEESECAKE WAS JUST TO DIE FOR. I NORMALLY DID NOT LIKE CHEESECAKE, UNTIL I HAD THEIR CHEESECAKE. I WAS NOT REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE FOOD, BUT MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE OF WHAT I ORDERED. (TRIED SOMETHING DIFFERENT) THIS IS DEFINATELY THE PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT TO BUY OR TRY CHEESECAKE.
- Pros: GOOD CHEESECAKE, GOOD SERVICE, BEAUTIFUL SCENARY
- Cons: PARKING, CROWDED, WAIT TIME
Oh, WOW!

We loved this place! You could order lunch portions after lunch hours. BIG portions. The Salmon was EXCELLENT!!! The bread was a treat. I don't care for Cheesecake but others in our party do. Some of the cheesecakes were outstanding and others not as good as that but still good. The price is worth it when you consider you get enough left over to have another meal at home. You need to go when it's not too crowed (between lunch & dinner or very late). You'll love it here.
- Pros: TASTE of the food, Quanity of food, Outdoor seating
- Cons: CROWDED Most the time
CHEESY

The ambiance at The Cheescake Factory, should be noted as the best thing they have to offer.
We tried the German Chocolate Cheescake (which was a huge disappointment and didnt taste very fresh) and the Tiramisu, of which the best part was the real Whipped cream on top The prices are high and you will be compelled to ask for a doggy-bag, mostly due to not wanting to throw your money away!
- Pros: Nice Atmosphere, fairly big portions, Trendy
- Cons: Not so good food, over priced, so-so service
Phenomenal!

It is true, Las Olas has been, for years, the domain of the independent trendy eating establishment. If someone had told me 5 years ago a chain restaurant would come in and top the best restaurant category, I would have laughed. But, then again, this is no ordinary Cheesecake Factory. I was informed that the resident bartender gets sent out all over the country to "open" new restaurants, this should hint at the level of service to expect. It is top quality service, combined with Las Olas street level ambiance that make this one extraordinary dining experience!
- Pros: Ambiance, Food, Service
- Cons: Lines, Pricing
Blown Our Of Proportion!

A glorified fast food restaurant whose menu is fille with extr haigh carbs and mucho fat! From a price/value point of view, this one is off the charts.
- Pros: fast service, filling, good parking
- Cons: unhealthy food, crowded, noisy
Cookie cutter cheesecake!

The selection isn't as huge as it appears on the menu. Many dishes have the same ingredients in various proportions and then given different names, and appetiser, main course depends on the size of the portion. The deserts are consistently great, both in visual impact, taste and quality. You have to really committed to cope with the wait and crowds, but once seated, service is A+ and accomodating. Best for families with children. Consistent experience.
- Pros: iknteresting menu, take away service, attentive waitstaff
- Cons: impossible waits, lack of ambience, noisy
