Best in South Florida
by Dragonchick717 at Citysearch
Japan Inn, is the best Japanese restaurant in South Florida. My boyfriend and I go about 2 times a week. They have the best sushi chefs, the best service, and the best authentic Japanese food. I was in Japan 1 year ago...and Japan Inn is truly authentic. I have tried all Japanese restaurants in Miami-Dade and Broward counties and none top this one. I recommend it to anyone who wants real Japanese cuisine.
- Pros: Food, Service, Ambience

so i have just ate there, the service that i got there was that of a late night at Denny's and i mean in a bad way. we sat at the bar and order sushi. the waiter took forever to come to us and take our order. i order 5 piece sushi and my gf ordered 2 rolls and a salad. the salad came out pretty quick. salad was pretty tasty. then the wait came, the wait for our sushi was long even though the bar wasnt that slammed. the sushi chef in front of us got our order and started working on it, but i noticed that he was making me sashimi instead of sushi so i told him, he then switch my order to sushi but i had told him that i was fine with the sashimi he had already made and to just make the rest as sushi. As he made the rest of my sushi i noticed he picked up a piece of Ebi, so i told i had not ordered that, so i told him to switch it to something else that i wanted. the food then came out. the food was decent, the tune looked like it came from frozen block of tuna and not fresh tuna so i didnt order that, and they didnt have smoke salmon which sort of shocked me. all these mistake were made by the servie, our waiter took our order without writing it down. so in conclusion, i received bad service, the sushi was ok( our sushi chef lacked in skills from my point of view), the eel sauce was overly sweet. this is a Japanese Steak House, so if you are entertained by the teppanyaki then you will probably like this place as it is more about entertaining then about real good food. i hope this helped you guys.
- Pros: if you really like food, you will try another restaurant before this one, like Marumi Sushi which is close to this place.
- Cons: bad service, kind of hot in there.

Japan Inn is the perfec t place to take the family and celebbrate any event...I went for my 20th birthday and I couldnt have asked for a better place. The attention is great and the cooks are fun, and the show is vry entertaining. They make you laugh and the bar has amazing drinks of all kinds! What was great is that the owner was there! Usually its rare to see owners at their own rest. but she was kind and cheerful! I would go there again, andd again, and anyone would enjoy it!
- Pros: Food, Entertainment, Service, location
- Cons: Parking, Waiting to be seated

I love Japan Inn. I get a Filet Mignon on the hibachi everytime. Their sushi is always fresh. I like the atmosphere. It is very family friendly. You do not feel like you are paying for a show like Benihanna. You are paying for good quility food.
- Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere
- Cons: Parking

Sit in the sushi area or the hibachi table - both are great! Unbeatable food, atmosphere and service.
