Avoid, always

We thought we would try it out again just to be nice to an establishment that does not appear to have much dinner business to begin with. Disappointed again, and will *never* go back. The waiter charged us for the 'papadam service' and when we complained would not back down. The Hydrabadi lamb was tougher than shoe lather and when we complained he just nodded his head (couldn't tell whether in agreement or disagreement) and just walked off. Most restaurants would offer to replace the offending entre with something else ... alas, not here. One of our guests had to flag the waiter twice to get the second glass of wine. Aside from the moody chef, maybe the English language is a problem here. Good luck, India House, we are taking our palates elsewhere!

HORRIBLE SERVICE

The food is usually good... but it really all depends on the chef on that particular day. But the only thing that will stop me from going is the SERVICE. The waitors are horrible... it's very hard to communicate with them. And don't even try to complain to the manager (the younger & shorter one)... because he just brushes it off & he appears to not care. I don't believe that they train their employees very well... because sometimes they act like they have NO CLUE!!!

• Pros: Butter Chicken, Chicken Kurma
• Cons: Definitely customer service skills!!!

Best in Broward

I have been to all the Indian restaurants I can find in my years here. This one is the best.

The food is excellent. The exterior is terrible. The lunch buffet is a great bargain and if you love Indian you will always find something you like. I order pick-up from them occasionally and the service is excellent and food great. Of course the restaurants in New York and London are better, but for Oakland Park you can not beat it.

Not Bad

If your looking for decent Indian food in the area it's not a bad place. There are much better places if you drive further south to Miami, although for N. Ft. lauderdale it's ok. The neighboorhood is a bit dodgy, but the resteraunt is OK on the whole. Food is slightly above average, although service leaves something to be desired.

One totally wonderful Indi experience

I would have to say that once inside you will be enjoy every morsel of food you have. Me and My family have two favor indian restaurants in the United State, Gaylords in San Fran and This One. So glad it is right around the corner from me. Karma brought me here....:)
