Experience some of nature's most beautiful creatures up close and personal at Butterfly World.

In Short
Imagine standing in a beautiful garden and suddenly a colorful butterfly flutters by, then another, and another. That's just one of the fascinating encounters visitors to Butterfly World can experience as they enter the habitat of these elegant creatures. There's also a breeding laboratory where the entire life cycle of a butterfly can be observed, as well as a museum that features a collection of creepy crawly critters from around the world. Butterfly World's aviary is home to a couple of dozen lorikeets and lories, colorful parrots native to Australia and the Pacific Islands. Butterfly world also features some 70 hummingbirds sipping from the nectar of one of the largest collections of flowers and passion vines in the world. Visitors are encouraged to feed these friendly birds from plastic cups filled with nectar.

When we first arrived I thought I had made a huge mistake by bringing my 12 yr old stepson here while his dad spent the day scuba diving. Once we got inside I don't know who was more amazed, me or him.....from the outside scenery, birds, cocoons, fish, and flowers (not to mention all of the butterfly's) to the indoor attractions (bug displays, bird feedings....). The only drawback were the people there not disciplining or watching their young children running around crazy (there were alot of toddlers). Was definately worth it
