The Scene
If an impersonal chain isn't your cup of tea, the luxurious Lago Mar Resort may be just what you need. Located in a residential neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of Fort Lauderdale, Lago Mar has the largest private beach in the area. The resort is family owned and operated, so there's a feeling of intimacy here, despite the more than 200 rooms and suites on the lush property.

The Amenities
The large rooms are appointed with all the comforts of home. Many have ocean or lake views, and the suites have mini-kitchens and wet bars. Parking and valet services are complimentary. So are miniature golf, shuffleboard and the beachfront volleyball courts. Two tennis courts, an exercise room and a children's playground are also available. Although there is no on-site golf course, the concierge can help you get tee times at local clubs or arrange fishing and sightseeing tours.

My vacation at the Lago Mar was the best of my life!! Stay here if you want to feel like a god or goddess! The Lago Mar has it all- lovely pools, elegant restuarants, walkways to the beach, cabana boys, thatched huts, a spa, excercise facilities, a playground, shops, room service, and so much more!
