Veranda at Plantation

Horrible!. I lived at The Veranda for one year. Total nightmare..there is something always broken either in the building or in your apartment. The elevators are ALWAYS broken not for a few hours, days and days. Noise is a serious issue the walls are paper thin and you hear everything, it's very loud day and night. They used to take care of the landscaping and they don't now. My neighbor put there dead Christmas Tree outside near the trash can for 7 weeks. I had to manually remove it myself after endless complaints and messages (the manager never answers the phone or returns calls). The plumbing is horrific, we would put dinner down the garbage disposal and it would come out in the laundry area (so disgusting). They have one guy that is on call for maintenance issues, not just for that building but for a bunch of different buildings and he's always in Miami and never available. The air conditioner always freezes up no matter what you do. They tell you someone will be there within 24 hours to make repairs before you sign your lease and after that it's all downhill. The current manager is horrible and rude and always blames someone else, it's never ever his fault. Even if they don't return your calls for weeks and it takes 10 calls to get in touch with him. The other issue was that I had a leak in the wall in my master bedroom and it was wet inside the wall (there has to be mold) and it looked terrible and was a health hazard. They came and looked at it and said that they wouldn't fit it because it's a homeowners assoc issue and they would have to fix it (even though I was a renter). Needless to say when I got out of that disgusting place the wall was bubbled from the rain leaking into it. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this mess.…
