Best tropical place to stay in Fort Lauderdale!. I found Mary's Resort by mistake! My usual place was booked, so they suggested I call Keith the owner. He had space, so I decided to book. I also lucked out with the new special prices. I arrived a few days later and it was much better than the website photos show. More lush and tropical. Keith said the photos were over a year old, explaining that a lot of tropical growth happens fast in Fort Lauderdale. The resort is all gated and very private. There is a pool and Jacuzzi in the center of the property. They have 4 buildings, which are all modern and very clean. Very upscale furnishings. I liked the free parking, free wireless internet and Aveda shampoo. I stayed a week and got a huge discount. They are now offering a 50% discount if you stay a week and more for extended stays. The only thing you don't get is daily room cleaning service with this special. I recommend you rent a car because things are all about 10 minutes away in Fort Lauderdale.
