Disgusting Food, Fithy Bathroom, Nice Owner. This is the second time I've been here. This time I ordered eggplant parmesan with spaghetti and meat sauce. When I went to mix the "meat" sauce with the pasta I noticed there was a layer of crumbled meat under the sauce. I tasted the meat and I almost threw up. It tasted like coagulated blood or organ meat made from table scraps. Next I tried the eggplant. The cheese was semi-fake (a blend of cheese food and real moozarella). The eggplant was soggy, and too much tomato paste in the sauce. I couldn't eat that either. A friend gave me a slice of his pizza and the slice he gave me was burned on the bottom. The sausage tasted very good but it was covered in cheeze food rather than the stretchy stringy moozarella cheeze I'm used to.

Next I go to the mens room. It was FILTHY. Toilet paper and towels all over the floor. Urine soaked smell like it hadn't been scrubbed down in weeks. Then to top it off they have the NERVE to put up a sign that says, "Keep this Bathroom Clean. Your Mother's Not Here to Clean it for You." What gall! You hang that in a private office or a kids room. Should we clean his filthy kitchen too?

Yet to my amazement the place was packed. It's like a hangout. Granted their prices average five dollars cheaper than the places I go but what good is it if you're eating slop in a fithy noisy dive?

After the first vomituous meal there a year before, I vowed not to return. But there I found myself again because my friends have a death wish. If you haven't killed your tastebuds with mass quantities of fat , sugar and MSG, and you're going there just to be with friends, you may want to bring your own sandwich and a nose plug!

BTW, I did complain to John about the food. I didn't get into discussing the sign in the bathroom because I was afraid that I would have "gone-off" on him in a major way if he didn't answer me the right way. He told me when people order meat sauce he crumbles up a (leftover?) meatball in the tomato sauce. Granted, John was very gracious, concerned and honestly appologetic. He had no problem taking the uneaten dinner off the bill. I understand he's trying to keep the prices down, and Americans do seem to prefer quantity over quality so maybe he knows what he's doing. I'd commit Hari Kari if it was my place. But that's me.

In conclusion, if your used to eating at truck stops, diners, Mc Donalds, food lines, or the county jail you'll love this place.

It's like I always say, "Different strokes for different jamokes." :)

Great Food!!. My family and I have been going to John the Baker for at least 15 years. The food is consistently good and the people who work there are always very pleasant and friendly. John, the owner makes a point to walk around to make sure everyone is happy with their orders. I read some of the other reviews and was surprised at some of what I read. When John the Baker first moved to Cooper City, his current location, I had stopped into Joey the Baker not realizing it was no longer John's restaurant. The food was DISGUSTING!! You could tell it was poor quality ingredients being used. Make sure you don't go here by mistake, or you will be sorry you wasted your money on terrible food.

The Facts of The Matter!. HaHaHa, John it's getting a little old. I happen to know Joey personally and know that him and his partners paid him over a quarter million dollars for the business. Since then he's tried everything in your power to bring them down. This is as low as it gets. No one from Joey the Baker wrote this false letter of apology in fact it was probably John Scinicarello himself . In fact if for any reason you doubt this you are more than welcome to contact Joey himself at any time about this matter to verify this statement at 954- 431-4315.

We would like to apologize! SO SORRY. We regret that in the past one or more of our friends and customers may have posted negative feedback here in order to make it look like John The Baker's customers were not happy with the food on ocassion. We have been repremanded for this type of behavior and would like to apologize for our unfair practices and childish behavior.

Since we aquired one of John The Bakers Restaurants in the PEMPROKE PINES area, (now Joey The Baker) the customers that do come in think they are still visiting JOHN THE BAKERS and say that we don't compare at all! They say our food is not the real fresh ingredients that JOHN truly has used since 1960.

Naturally, you can Imagine how mad that would make you, if people are always comparing you with the best. This has made us stoop to the level of badmouthing the COOPER CITY STORE by throwing out bad comments to make people believe that the food at JOHN THE BAKERs in COOPER CITY is no good.

We would oficially like to take that back and admit that we would like to make amends for those comments and will stop this childish behavior.

Business is Business and we will no longer continue to bad mouth JOHN THE BAKER or the man who gave us the opportunity that was given to us and say "Thank You John" for John The Baker Restaurants and for the the opportunities you have given us. AGAIN WE ARE SORRY!

Worst Italian Food On the Planet. Whatever you do, donot eat here. The quality of the food is sub par. The veal was like rubber with no taste. If your in Cooper City try other italian restaurants in Pembroke Pines with almost the same name.

BEST SAUSAGE PIZZA AND EVEN BETTER CANOLLI'S. John the Baker has the BEST sausage pizza in Florida. Great fresh sausage, crispy crust, and excellent tomato sauce. If you go, make sure you have one of John's famous Cannoli's. They're even better than my sicilian grandma used to make!!! Also, the ABSOLUTE BEST ravioli and manicotti. A must have!

Worst Food Ever!. I will never go to John the Baker again. The food was absolutely disgusting. My family and I ordered Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmigiana and a large cheese pizza. First of all, I don't know what they call chicken marsala, because for one it's in an orange sauce, two there is no wine in it, and three it tasted watery and very bland. The chicken parmigiana we ordered was brought to the table burnt and it tasted like complete rubber. It was so hard to chew I could have broken some teeth eating it. My children thought the pizza was okay but nothing to brag about. I also overheard John calling one of his employees stupid, what is up with that? John needs to step it up a notch, otherwise he could go out of business! I think the only thing I enjoyed there was the fountain soda. Never again!

John The Baker is A#1 in my book.. Firstly, The Garlic rolls are to die for! Secondly, all the food is made from scratch. I am the biggest fan of the Lasagna but so many dishes are awsome. My wife, my kids and myself have been eating at john the bakers for years. Always a family atmosphere and great food. Plus I like that john comes around and really shows hes human and talks with his customers. He and his wife show their old fashioned family values and they really care about people. Makes my dining experience special. Thanks guys, keep it up!

Go to Beef O Brady's if you are in Cooper City. If you are going to bring your famimly out for dinner Beef's is a much better choice. The price and service make it a more viable alternative.
