Dr. Dooreck completed his undergraduate degree at SUNY Stony Brook. He joined the Harvard School of Public Health before earning his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. He returned to New York City where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency and year as Chief Resident at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, a Columbia University teaching hospital where he initiated a Colorectal Cancer Screening Program.

Dr. Dooreck received clinical training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and distinguished Center for Liver Diseases; named by US News as one of America's Best Hospitals for Digestive Disorders.

Dr. Dooreck joined Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Centers and the Memorial Healthcare System in 2005 and is an appointed active member of the Medical Staff Credentialing Committee for the entire Memorial Healthcare System and Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology at Memorial Regional Hospital South. Dr. Dooreck was a consultant for development of the Memorial Healthcare System's Digestive Care Program.

Dr. Dooreck is committed to preventative medicine and education on Colorectal Cancer Screening and created the Memorial Colorectal Cancer Corporate Outreach Program - speaking to many of South Florida leading corporations including; Johnson&Johnson/Cordis, Princess Cruises, State Farm, HEICO, Broward County School Board, Craig Zinn Automotive Group, among others.

Dr. Dooreck has been featured on news segments for both NBC6 and Local 10 ABC news.
