Char Burger from Paradise!. I had to join Citysearch just to set the record straight! To hear someone bad mouth Char Hut is almost blasphemy to me.You'll notice she wasn't speaking about the quality of the food which is way above par! Char Hut has always been a place for many local teens to get their first taste of employment. I've spent years wondering how they get their products to taste so good. The seasoning really must be the grill they use.Consistency of product is important to me and Char Hut always is the same . The business model must be idiot proof, because no matter who they have behind the grill you can always expect that unmistakable Char grilled taste! Portions are filling and the food is above fast food quality. Food is cooked in a high production setting and always made to order in front of you. Staff is mostly teens with 1 or 2 supervisors. If you come in frequently they will remember you.

The menu has grown to include things like pork and cuban steak sandwiches and you can choose from French fries, Home made battered Onion rings or Black Beans and Rice to compliment your sandwich. I usually stick to the Char Cheese and switch off between their onion rings and fries. Hot cheese on the side is a welcome addition. They even have veggie burgers if that's your thing.

I can not fathom that someone would not consider Char Hut a family friendly place. I have been coming to Char Hut since my grandmother took me there as a young child. (Before I really knew how special of a place it was.) They have since moved closer out west but I can remember when you had to go to 441 just to enjoy Char hut. They also have clowns come sometimes for the kids and have a children's section with coloring.

If you have been to Char Hut, you know what I'm talking about . If you are from out of town,consider this your insider tip and don't pass on Char Hut while you're passing through!

customer service may be o.k. but treatment of staff by management is atrocious at best. My niece has worked at the Davie Char Hut while attending high school & now that she is in her freshman year at college she needed book money so when asked to come back to work at Char Hut she said o.k. & did so. Today she found out that her M.R.I. was bumped by her physician from this Friday to tomorrow, she did the responsible thing & immediately called her manager at Char Hut & informed him of such. Without hesitation, he hung up the phone on her, w/out benefit of explanation or anything-just hung up the phone...is that any way for management to act? Is this the ongoing training Char Hut staff receives...is this type of mis-management actually condoned by Char Hut proprietors? Who cares how the burger compares to McDonalds when it is the internal workings (or more appropriately, the lack of) of the company which is completely lacking in integrity, couth & tactfulness & this is the environment we are applauding in these reviews-we take issue w/kids in Nicaragua working for minimum dollars but right here in the good ole' U.S. of A. we allow incredibly insufficiently prepared managers to shape our youth's approach to how things ought be done-no wonder customer service is at the bottom of the priorital list in S. Fla...look at the examples they are given in their formative years on the job...unforgiveable at best!

Great Place. Char Hut is what a burger joint should be. Jack's and Cheeburger Cheeburger are still high up on the list, but Char Hut wins overall in my opinion due to thier outstanding facilities and friendly staff. Now if they would only come out east so I did not have to drive.
