I thought it was good. I think Smokey Bones is a great place to go with friends and have a good meal. The servers are always friendly and the food is on target. I really like it and would recommend it to anyone!
Mountain-lodge decor and slow-cooked meats draw barbecue lovers and sports fans to this woodsy chain restaurant..
Rustic accents like logs, lanterns and fieldstone may adorn the exterior, but inside, it's all about ceiling-mounted TVs for fans who want sports with their spicy food. A large bar with a giant television dominates, while flanking wooden booths come with audio selectors and easy views of nearby screens. Sundry meats are cooked in-house over hickory wood: pulled pork (hand-pulled daily), baby back ribs, barbecued chicken, smoked beef brisket and various combination platters.
JeffEats: This bbq is nasty! Stay Away. Smokey Bones' stuff is absolutely horrible. JeffEats says stay away. How this place stays in business, is anyone's guess?
Nothing good. The worst BBQ I have ever had and very pricy. I ordered baby back ribs for take out, and they were so dry and tasteless I threw them away after eating only one. Not the place for BBQ, or ambiance.
User review by gingergirl30. Good Kansas City style bbq joint, with a sports bar type setting. Good ribs and pulled pork. Try the cornbread skillet appetizer and the bag of donuts for dessert. A bit loud though, not great for deep conversation, due to the televisions around the room. I've tried other rib places around town, but I like this one the most.
