Horrible.
I usually don't review restaurants and am willing to give anyone a second chance, but not this establishment.
We went there on a Sunday afternoon when it was not busy at all. We sat and then waiting about 10 minutes before menus were brought, then we had to wait another 10 minutes before the dis-interested waitress finally took our drink order.l
Again, still willing to give it a chance until our order came out. We ordered the "mixed grill" in which the meat was so overcooked and dry that we didn't eat half of it. My piece of chicken was about the size of 2 quarters lined up. I have the admit that the blood sausage was about the only tasty thing on the plate. In addition to the meat, the mashed potatoes were served ice cold (they forgot to put it in the microwave my guess).
Due to the abysmal, disinterested service, and the unpalatable food, I have to give this place a one star and we will never, ever, be back again.
Never Going Back!. What a trickery! I thought I was going to an argintinian steakhouse but really they are just a want to be italian restaurant! Don't put italian dishes on the menu if you can't cook or let alone know how to spell them! If I wanted italian I could've gone next door where I know they do it right and judging from my skirt steak here that tasted like cardboard the place next door seems to do that better also! What a joke!
Big disappointment.
We were expecting great steak...we were mistaken. The "Clerico" (white wine "sangria") was very good, as were the Argentinean style chorizo appetizers. We should have stopped there...
Even though we were there relatively early (7:00pm), they were all out of skirt steak, their "signature" dish. I order the Rib Eye instead and had what was possibly the worst rib eye of my life. I ordered it "medium", it was brought well done (no pink at all, though, and dry). Even worse, when I called the waiter's attention to the fact it was overcooked, instead of making it right, all I got is "that's medium to us". My wife had the filet mignon, which was better, but certainly not good.
To us, among the worst, not the best, steak restaurants we've been to. Too bad.
for your info. well, it just so happens to be that my dad owns the place.... and, mama mia's stinks lol it's true!!!
Other Strip Steaks in Hollywood. The best place in Hollywood for a skirt steak is either Mama Mia's or (believe it or not) the Transylvania Restaurant which is a romanian restaurant. The skirt steak at the Transylvania is amazing. The Argentango is all hat and no cattle anymore.
Sad To Write This Review....
I'm very sad to have to write this review. We have been going to Argentano for over five years and in the last 3 months have seen it going on a spiral straight DOWN! My latest and last experience there was last Saturday night. There was a chip on my glass, when I brought this to the attention of the server, she ran her finger around the rim of the glass, and told me there was no chip and continued to put the glass back down in front of me to finish my diet coke. That was just the start! She then brought out wrong salad and argued with us that we ordered them. We had to ask several wait staff for more rolls (we were a party of six, and they gave six rolls) as well as for more chimichurri. As a matter of fact after the steaks were served, we still didn't have the chimichurri. Our fried sweet potatoes never came.
I think the worst part of the experience was when the owner ( I just started to notice him there our last 2 or 3 visits), was called to the table, and heard what we had to say, and walked away without saying a word to us. To his credit, he did send a new server over to the table, but it was to late for that!
Now we are looking for a new place for skirt steak, any suggestions?
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Known for "The World's Longest Steak," the restaurant also serves seafood, pasta, chicken and a selection of desserts.
Best churasco in Florida.. The churasco is big enough for three hungry people and is cooked to perfection. Everything on the menu is great and ther servers are not hovering around you constantly. Very relaxing and comfortable place to eat.
Very nice.
We've been going there at least once a month for the last 3 years.
Everything is yummy.
Too bad the NY steak started off at $12.95, nowadays it's reaching $20.
If you're into fish, definitely try Snapper la Bosco.
(And you can make a reservation with your favorite waiter anytime. You just have to be an overtipping regular)
