Ex Burger King/1-900 site.. Some more trivia for you. In the mid-90's, I had fiber-optic cable pulled into this building for a company I worked for called TCG. They were later acquired by AT&T as part of their AT&T local initiative.

Anyway, I had an interesting client who leased the building, painted the windows black and sat 50-70 women down to answer 1-900 sex calls at a couple of bucks per minute.

We ran fiber in there to connect them to the other locations as well as to provide voice services.

And now you know, more of the story........

This is not your Hamburger Mary's. This is primarily a restaurant catering to the large GLBT community in the Wilton Manors Oakland Park area. It is hard to believe that this building was once a Burger King! This former Hamburger Mary's franchise cannot be compared to the food Rosies now offers. The variety, entertainment and management became increasingly better.

The physical space itself is super diner friendly. The bar is indoor/outdoors. Windows and sliders pull back to make this an open air space. Dining inside is comfortable, but nothing beats the people watching al fresco! Valet is complimentary and good.

Try a grilled fish sandwich, a Burger, killer onion rings and fries. The Cobb Salad is awesome - and you can always substitute steamed veggies for the fried fare.

It's ROSIE'S and it's great fun and food!. Food has improved greatly since the change to Rosie's from Hamburger Mary's. These reviews are 4-5 years old. This is the place to go in Wilton Manors!

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Colorful, kitschy eatery in a gay-friendly neighborhood serves sandwiches, burgers and fries while offering live entertainment and drink specials.

Good drinks but the food is not a go. great drink prices for happy hour but the food has a long way to go its over cooked and the size of the food is good but when it taste like it sat in the widow for 45 min its not a good value.. keep making the drinks and get a new cook!!!

Not for the burger. The ambience is great, the service is good, but the hamburgers are definately not what makes this restaurant come to mind. If you want a fun dining experience, this is the place, if you want a good burger choose elsewhere. For a place with Hamburger as part of its name it just dosent work. Still a fun and festive place to visit. Great hotdogs!

Bravo Wilton Manors. Always have a great time at Mary's. Been around Wilton for many years and in contrast to Tropics, Chardees, or Alibi the staff is superior and generally more fun.

Not for the insecure, or closeted.... They've managed to capture the same up-beat feeling of the original Mary's, in San Francisco.

Staff's been helpfull and pleasant to myself and anyone I know that's gone there.

M, music videos and occasional live entertainment are always great.

Sure, the food can take awhile to get to your table... But if you're in a hurry, you're in the wrong place. Mary's is the best spot to relax, talk, laugh with friends. Great alternative to Bars, for people-watching.

If you have any problem with a "Gay" atmosphere, or people who are comfortable enough to be themselves (Staff included), you're probably better-off hiding in some dark restaurant booth, somewhere.

"No"... I don't work there! But I've lived in Fort Lauderdale for 10 years, and it's one of the best additions to the neighborhood I've seen.
