What a great place. I did not know this place was even here. We discovered it and enjoyed the pizza. We will be coming back.

Best Pizza in South Florida. I have lived in South Florida for 20 years and these guys make the tastiest pizza in town. They are extremely hospitable and the service was expeditious.

Best Italian Food Since New York!.
When you eat Phil's food it somehow gives me that warm fcomfortable feeling inside. I usually get that when someone I know who love me cooks for me. My fiance' also noticed that. There's something special about it. When I'm coming down with a cold I wind up ordering something there. It seems to help.
If Born-again Chrisians give you the willies, not to worry. No one has ever tried to convert me. They have pamphlets around but never felt pressured.
He does employ recovering addicts so some may look a little rough, but they're always nice. I don't see this as a bad thing being that most other places employ ACTIVE semi-functional addicts (or just plain morons) anyhow.
Although I don't ascribe to Phil's brand of Christianity. I know faith in Jesus works very well as a viable substitute for drugs. Ask for healing in His name and you WILL be healed. Just keep in mind, "His" name is Jesus. NOT Phil... :)

THE BEST PIZZA AND CALZONE IN TOWN :).
I love Phil's restaurant!! the calzones are great!!! I personaly love them. the services is espectacular also, as Phill's personaly takes care of the clients. and you can find him at the restaurant at any time. the admosphiere in general is great, very homie and inviting.
highly recomend the calzones and pizzas at phill's try them ones and you would be back for sure!!! :)!!

omg is this for real????. truth about phil's crack head homeless prep guy,drug dealing credit card stealing casher guy,and then you have the owner Phil get a life dude u r not gonna get lucky spouting off about god in apizza place!!! oh yeah you might want to torn your water heater on before the health dept. gets there

Great service, food not so much.
My wife an I ordered a calzone for pick up from Phils calzone factory and they took about 5 minutes longer than they said on the phone. They were very friendly and offered us free drinks for waiting which I thought was nice and unnecessary.
The calzone looked good but if you are not absolutly wild about mass quantities of cheese you should pass. We ended up picking at the ingrediants and were left with giant piles of ricotta and mozzarella cheese left on the plate.
P.S. If you are not a holy roller you may be offended by by the interior which shoves pro god propaganda down your throat.

Phil's is the best I've had. I used to go to Pasqale's Pizza for many years because it most closely resembled what I remeber from New York, but once I tried Phil's I was sold! His is by far the best. And Phil seems like a really good person. I highly recommend them.

Truly great pizza in a indoor/outdoor venue that brings back memories of 1950's Florida. Just beautiful & Good!.
My daughter visits Phil's every time she comes down on vacation. Her first visit, years ago, left an impression of life on the beach that she's never forgotten, and still enjoys today. Wonderful breezes and terrific food make Phil's a place to dine, and remember just how good it is here in Pompano Beach!
As I was growing up in Fort Lauderdale, when I was 17, with my first car (1949 Plymouth) I can remember coming home from the beach with my friends at around 3 in the afternoon, starving, and stopping at the now, long gone Pizzio's Drive In just North of SE 17th St on the West side of Federal (US 1) and having a meatball parmesan sub. It was delivered to us by car hops on roller skates. It was wonderful. Phil's brings some of that kind of social experience to today's world. Yeah, it brings it back and gift's it for new generation to enjoy.
If you get a chance...Don't miss it!
