Before I checked state inspection I ate here. My opinion was that I needed to check the state inspection. It was (in my opinion) YUCK.
BAD CHOICE!!!. I have never seen a privately owned establishment give such poor customer service!! Payed over $14.00 for my meal and it comes out incorrect, not even close to what I ordered... they didnt want to give me the less expensive dish that I requested and became extremely combative!!
not good. made my girl sick, soda was horrible, employees not professional, I will nevre go again
Mushy Crappy BBQ... But good corn and Macaroni!. I just ate there about 20 minutes ago. It was awful. It didn't even smell good walking in the door. Maybe that was just the collard greens haha. I ordered the #2 BBQ Sliced Beef ($9.74 at) Per the recommendation of the staff. Wow.. they were really off. It was mushy nasty beef covered in flavorless sauce. I then tried to make it better by using the HOT SAUCE on the table. This helped a bit, but not enough to finish the meat. I did like the sides. Macaroni was tasty.. homestyle. The corn on the cob tasted like.. corn on the cob. Finished them both. Then i moved to the corn bread. Decent if you put enough butter on.. but i guess you could say that about most things. Customer service was to be expected at a BBQ place and the employees were arguing in the back about how they take orders and what they were low on. I was there at only 7pm.. i think they close at 830 but i couldn't find the hours anyway. Last but not least we left not happy and smelling of wood smoke. Considering I wasted $20 and gas and time to try this place that will be my first and last visit unless they are doing a "hey we changed try us again free" promo. Doubt it. Thanks for listening.
Best BBQ in South Florida.
I love BBQ. I've tried everything in South Florida. NOTHING can touch Jack's. Don't let the plain decor fool you, this place is for real. The portions are large and satisfying, and their sauce is perfect. Try the Sampler platter the first time you go, after you've had that a couple hundred times, go for the rip-tip platter.
Jack's side-dishes will also impress: My favs are the mac n cheese, the beans, and the fries.
You also get a nice hunk of cornbread with most meals. Good for cleaning your plate.
If you've got one meal left to eat on this earth, have it at Jack's.
GREAT BARBQ. I have spent alot of time in the south especially Texas and this food compares to any BarBQ that I have eaten anywhere. Try it if you're in town!
The Best BBQ.
I can't say enough about this place! I go almost every week. The best greens you'll ever eat! The price is great, portions are large, the BBQ actually melts in your mouth!
Try the sweet potato pie! They have a drive through if your feeling lazy!!!
