SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTED!

The management and service are excellent. Despite the large crowds, you get seated quickly. The food, however, is a major disappointment. The salad bar featuring cold salads is very unappealing. The tuna salad looks old and very unappetizing. One would almost be afraid to sample it.

Cheese seems to be added to everything on the steam table in one form or another. There is a large piece of meat, ham or roast beef, which is hard to carve and very tough. Soups are lacking in taste and flavor.

The only 2 items that are really good and above par are the blue crabs and the dessert bar. It's really a shame because one would need something more substantial than crabs and dessert to put together a well-balanced meal. It would appear to me that if management eased up on the adding of cheese to everything, the food might be a lot better. There are a number of fried, greasy items; very unappetizing. For those attempting to eat a low-calorie diet, there isn't much to choose from.

It Really IS a Super Buffet

Kings Super Buffet prepares some dishes really well, with excellent quality & variety & exceptional value. Frequently there are new or upgraded offerings added to the buffet ... which is rare these days & contrary to the familiar pattern of quality downsizing which is common at other bargain buffet restaurants.

There's an unusually good assortment of fish & shellfish & even the assortment of sushi is freshly prepared and pretty decent for this kind of place..

If you limit your selection to the above & stick to the items you like I think you will be impressed & possibly even amazed at the quality & price.

Clean + relatively nice decor & atmosphere for this type & class of place. Friendly & completely adequate service is hit or miss. Sometimes it is very attentive with friendly waitresses coming around frequently to remove your finished plates though on occasion not. when the staff are sitting down for lunch themselves or are exceptionally busy.

Certain of King Super Buffet's dishes on the other hand are NOT prepared so well, are greasy or keep out too long especially at night and off-peak hours. For example if you suspect bad oysters, esp. late at night or during the summer months, then go with your 'gut' (double meaning intended) & simply avoid. The crab legs have always been tasty & fresh @ dinner.

I can see why there have been some unhappy & disappointed reviews. These patrons have had bad luck or made inexperienced choices among the not-so-good offerings &/or their expectations may have been unrealistic ..

But experienced Kings Super Buffet goers like myself, my friends & family REALLY ENJOY & APPRECIATE this place and eat there at least once a week, have never become ill (except for overeating) or disappointed by quality. We choose it in preference to the various other local buffet options. So good Luck & Bon Apetit!

VERY BAD PLACE TO EAT!

I WOULD NEVER EAT AT THIS PLACE AGAING THE FOOD WAS VERY NASTY THE SERVICE WAS VERY BAD THERE WAS SOME GUY WALKING BACK AND FORTH WITH SOME LOUD MUSIC PLAYING IT'S A VERY BAD PLACE!

Bad oysters and not the cleanest place.

We wrote to the restaurant two times already to tell them that three out of for persons ended up for four days in the hospital for eating bad oysters and they didn't even have the decency to respond or say that they were sorry. It's cost me around $ 35,000.00 for the hospital bills. I sent them all the paperwork and like I said, they don't care.
