Great Place To Live. I've lived here for several years and my family has always been happy here. For a rent controlled complex, I think they do a fantastic job of keeping the property beautiful and well-maintained.

For the some of the issues mention in bad reviews, unfortunately I think that has more to do with some people who live here and do not respect their surroundings. The maintenance and office staff have always been helpful and kind.

I definitely recommend the Falls of Bonaventure as a safe, friendly place to live for all ages.

Thiefs. My Mom lived in one of their apartments for three years and had to experience the worst treatment ever.

When my parents first moved in, the apartment was smelling like cigarettes because the prior tenant was a heavy smoker and the the walls were impregnated with cigarette smell. My parents tried everything, they sprayed the walls with different deodorizers, had the air ducts professionally cleaned, opened the windows during hot summer days etc. in order to try to get rid of that nasty smell.

After three years of having to live with old appliances, old kitchen cabinets, etc. We decided that it was better if we could just get my Mom a better place.

In order to receive the whole security deposit, we cleaned the carpet, bathrooms, etc. We also moved out all of my Moms stuff before the 31st and went back into the office on the 31st of March 2011 but when I went to take pictures of the apartment, they had already taken possession of the apartment and began painting.

At the office, they told us that they were going to charge us more than $ 1000 (thousand) dollars because the carpet was not in the same condition that we received it, they also told us that they had to change the kitchen floor because it was scratched, and that the two bathrooms were stained.



I find this absurd because first of all, the apartment was not in a good condition when my parents first moved in, second of all, they were expecting for the carpet and the cheap kitchen vinyl floor to be in the exact condition same as they were when they first moved in and, third of all, the bathrooms were in the same condition as they were when my parents first moved in.

Linda, the manager of the association is clearly trying to increase the profits of this apartment complex by stealing people's money and that is not right.

So Glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews. My mom recently moved into The falls of Bonaventure and i could not be happier. I visit her several times per week on my lunch hour and the building is always clean and the maintenance staff always seem to be doing something to improve the place. The management staff was kind, considerate and very professional to both myself and my mother. The apartment was beautiful, painted, cleaned, new carpet and new vinyl. I could only find one minor repair that was needed. The screened in balconys are really a nice feature that my mother really enjoys.

AWFALL PLACE TO LIVE!!!. WHEN I MOVED IN, THE CARPET WAS ALL SPOTTED AND SOILED. LATTER I FOUND OUT THAT THE PREVIOUS TENANT WAS CHARGED FOR A NEW CARPET( THEY KEPT THEIR DEPOSIT ) AND THEY NEVER REPLACED IT. EVERY TIME YOU GO TO THE MANAGEMENT OFFICE THEY TREAT YOU LIKE IF YOU WERE A NOBODY. THEY ARE RUDE, INCOMPETENT AND UNWILLING TO HELP. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A FOREIGN WORD TO THEM, AND LET'S NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT THEIR FOUL LANGUAGE WHICH THEY USE EVEN IN FRONT OF CHILDREN. THE ELEVATORS ARE CONSTANTLY BROKEN AND BY THE TIME THEY FIX IT ANOTHER ONE BREAKS. THE SAME HAPPENS WITH THE LAUNDRY ROOM WHERE THE MACHINES ARE ALWAYS BROKEN. FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU PAY HERE YOU SURELY CAN FIND A MUCH BETTER PLACE AND BETTER PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH.

condition of apartments. The apartment I visited had black soot marks on the ceiling , paint chipping off the bathroom walls, shower stall falling apart , hooks and towel racks hanging by a thread off the wall, carpeting that looked a thousand years old, cabinets have doors hanging off their hinges including water damage . This place is in no living condition . who ever mantains this property as property manager needs to do a better job. i would be embarrassed if i was the Property Manager.and on top of that the elevators need to be improved and maintained in working order.
