Davie >Georgia Pig Barbeque & Rstrnt
Outstanding Pork sandwich.
It was my first time there and not knowing what to order, the waitress friendly suggested the BBQ Pork Sandwich....It was excellent!!!!!! I grew up in a Southern family, and trust me, this is BBQ at its finest!!!!!!!!!
Price was reasonable, and everyone working there was polite with me.....I will go back again definitely! A down home, Georgia type feel to the place.......Not a fancy Steak House!
Craving and never open. This is a great place to eat from what I have heard. I have yet to eat there because everytime I attempt, they're either closing or closed. Closing on a Saturday at 6:00pm is not good. Being closed on a Sunday is even crazier. They must be doing well to be able to close at 6:00 on Sat. and all day Sunday. I look forward to eating there one day. It better be good. After all, I am driving from Miami.
dont bother to go here.
tried sonnys one day then went here. the meat was good, but the bbq sauce was colored water
real bad service also, Im not the picky kind either. my kids didnt like it either
The Pig Rules. I literally grew up in this place. I miss it so much, but I'll be coming to visit soon! My favorites are the pork sandwichs, brunswick stew, ribs, bisquits & sausage gravy, banana pudding, and the pecan pie. BTW - Cash Only, and the listing says california cuisine, and brunch as an amenity.....which isn't true.
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Restaurant specializes in tender barbecue as well as cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches and Brunswick stew at affordable prices.
The Best in S. Fla. The barbque is the best ever. Have traveled all over the country and this is great. Same owners for over 40 years. Friendly, fast service. Go at lunch and you'll see everything from bikers to suits.
Don't Think About It. Save your time and money. I went to Georgia Pig's today. The people are rude and they went to serve me left-over food. There were two barbeque sandwhiches already fixed, just sitting out (and they thought they were going to sell it to me). The guy who wrapped my sandwhich was picking his teeth prior to touching my sandwhich. Of course I said "no thanks" and left ASAP. The place is also dirty. Perhaps not a place for you nor your worst enemy.
Without a doubt. I have been eating at the pig for over 40 years. It was great when I was a kid and it is great now. This is real pit bbq. (no oven bbq here) The meat is perfect and the sauce is the best I have ever eaten. I always have a jar of it in my frig. Wayne and Joann are like visiting family everytime I am able to get down from west palm beach. I judge all other bbq by the pig and nothing has ever come close. (I miss Francis)
Going Back in time. They Cook over a open pit in front of you, the inside looks loke a old fashion family and freinds place the owners and help are great. like stepping back in time to the way it should be. it is the kinda place you go just to meet you friends and have a meal and good time
Real Q. Pure simple Q at it's best. It all about the meat and here it's moist, succulent and delicious. Sauce on the side, as it should be and every pork sandwich chopped by hand as it's ordered. Take a bag of sandwiches home as they're great reheated.
