Tips for 15 Th Street Fisheries

Great location. Watching the fish through the glass floor is quite an experience. We take our visitors here for a taste of waterfront dining. Prices are reasonable downstairs.

I would rather eat out of the dumpster behind Red Lobster. I haven't been out for New Year's Day in probably 15 years and I am SOOOOOO sorry that I picked this place to venture out to. There were a total of 3 tables in the restaurant that had people sitting at them and we were ignored most of the evening. We had to ask for water refills and the waiter had absolutely no personality. I don't know if he had a bad day, but the service was horrible. The best part of the whole meal was paying for it so we could leave. You would think that a seafood restaurant in a marina with a beautiful view would make an effort to make the food up to par with the atmosphere.

Worst service and attitude-under new management. went 1 time, owners was changing. walked out after 45 mins of not being served, then told none of the seafood was available. they begged us to come back in, and the food was barely passable. Heard great review again, went 6 months laye, ate upstairs. No bimini bread, took 45 mins to refill water. servers more interested in discussing last nights party than taking care of us. there was 1 other couple in the room with us, yet i had to get up 5 times to ask for a refill on water or a drink. The shrimp cocktail sauce was horrible, the steak sent back over cooked, Oysters had grit in them. Witer too bust in other room to check back. So that is it. The people that like it are remembering the old good 15th Street Fisheries. The servers attitude was arrogant and of no interest in taking care of 4 people in a room. It smelled musty. So after trying the downstairs and the upstairs, where the cost greatly varies, it all was bad. I eat out 4-5 times a week and would rather go to Hobo's Fish Joint or Blue Moon where my business and desire to be taken care of AT THE SAME PRICES. i have told everyone and each person goes and comes back shaking hteir head in disgust. If they last another year I would be greatly surprised.

Boat Parade gone bad. Once seated we were met by our server who never introduced himself to us, never obtained our attention for explaining the menu or any questions that my guests or I may have had? They did take our drink and appetizer order. We were incredibly dissatisfied by the shrimp cocktail (4 pieces of medium shrimp for $12) and the fisheries salad. An HOUR went by and neither of our servers took the care to ask us if we would like to order or would we like refills or MORE bread? We finally call on the server to come over a take our orders. The orders arrive in the allotted time and appear properly cooked? My finace's order of seafood rigatoni priced at $25 was comprised of exactly 12 pieces of rigatoni pasta, 4 small shrimp, 2 scallops and 2 mussells. The lobster sauce that she was looking forward to was so watery that it did not stick to the food and could only be found at the bottom of the plate. A potential client of ours ordered the Tuna (medium) and was surprised to cut into the tuna and basically see a piece of sushi. Luckily another guest liked "raw tuna" and the two switched plates.A guest of ours and I ordered the Mahi Mahi, which is one of my favorites at the Fisheries, until now. Both of our serving were undercooked. We both had one bite and knew! The servers NEVER came back to check on us concerning our meals. I called for the server and sent both plates back to be properly cooked and shortly They reheated the entire plate in the oven, NOT even removing the rice or vegetables. Needless to say that from leaving my setting and returning back tome took just under 3 minutes?

I have been a loyal customer of the fisheries for 16 years bringing family, friends, and clients on a regular basis. It is a shame that the new management has turned their backs on the tradition. Good bye Fisheries...I'll miss who you were.

Gone downhill. I've been going to The Fisheries for a very long time. This trip was a dissapointment to say the least. Service was not good. The food and drinks took way too long to arrive. We asked for more of the yummy breads that they offer just to tied us over and it felt as if we were asking for something we shouldn't.

What a shame. I don't think we will return anytime soon

Best Place in Town!. This is the place to go to for a 7 course meal, sherbet in between servings and also the place to go for a simple fresh lightly fried grouper sandwich for lunch overlooking the New River. The seared tuna is the best I've ever had anywhere, the service makes you feel like a movie star and they have the same food downstairs in the bar overlookng the intercoastal as they do upstairs, except downstairs they call it a sandwich and don't server sherbet. Makes the great food affordable for everyone, not just the 7 course meal types. This is by far the best restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale.
