Warning!. Folks, don't spend your money. This place was overpriced and the food was horrendous. Service was poor, dinner cold and the plates needed a good washing. The chef may have been out sick, anyone with pride in their profession would not of sent food looking and tasting the way it did. Stay AWAY!
My stress now belongs at bimini. Usually I won't even bother to review a restaurant or happy hour but last night was almost out of a movie. I've been here before back in the day when you almost had to reserve a spot to stand for happy hour and this hot spot is making a comeback. Highly recommend the apple martini!
Awesome fort lauderdale seafood restaurant. Went with a few friends to Bimini the other night and were really impressed with the new changes going on. We haven't been to this gem of Fort Lauderdale in quite a while and the changes are right on key. Check out the happy hour, we saw some old friends and ended up doing dinner which was top notch!
Group Event, Great Service, Great Food!. I was just at Bimini Boatyard with a group of 16 for a surprise birthday party. The manager in charge of group parties (Patti) was extremely helpful and couldn't have been nicer. She was very attentive to our requests prior to the event and to the details the night of the party. The entire staff made this a great gathering, especially the kitchen with the food.
Great place for parties!. I just hosted a baby shower for about 30 guests there this weekend and it couldn't have gone better. The manager (Patti) and the head waiter (Terry) were wonderful! Every small or large request we made was happily fulfilled. The food was great and the service was too. All of our guests seemed to enjoy themselves and several commented on how nicely everything was done. I was so happy with my experience there that I plan on hosting a big bridal shower there in a couple of months!
Christmas Gathering gone bad. Despite the fact that the food was great. It is unfortunate for me to say that the customer service was horrible. Considering that my party consisted of approximately 14 people it was a shame that we all enjoyed the food and left ther disgusted with the manager/general manager (Janetta). There was a billing issue that arised at the end of our christmas gathering that would have been easily taken care of if it were done by someone else who was more skilled with interacting professionally with customers. Her body language alone was dissatisfying. Her demeaner while interacting with some of the members of my party disgusted me. She presented herself in an agitated manner and spoke not only rudley but loud. I really enjoyed the food but do not care to ever visit this restaurant again simply because of the customer service that i recieved
Not a good idea for group parties.. After taking the time to meet with the managers twice to carefully plan our reception, we were disappointed with our experience. Though we reserved a private room, our guests had to wait in the bar area for the previous party to leave and for the restaurant staff to prepare the room. Once we were invited in the room well after our reservation time, the waitresses proceeded to charge our guests for soft drinks even though our contract stated that soft drinks were included. We did not appreciate our guests having to pay when we had arranged in the contract that they would not have to pay. The manager eventually said that drinks were included after we told her about our contract. Appetizers were supposed to be served at 4pm, but they were finally started at 5pm after we had to tell the manager that we had order six trays. Shouldn't they have already known this? What was the point of meeting with the managers twice before the reception? They didn't have the ingredients to the ones we ordered, so we told them to serve anything at that point. We were later overcharged for the appetizers when the bill came, and we had to tell the manager to adjust it. Once dinner was finally served, the guests seemed to be happy with the food, though several people said the vegetables were undercooked. I would not suggest this restaurant to anyone who values service. I am usually easily pleased, but this was not a good experience at all. I feel bad for the chef, because he most likely had a stressful evening as a result of the poor communication and planning on the manager's part.
Want a yacht but will settle for a yacht owner? This is the place to meet one..
In Short
Bimini Boatyard caters to those who live the good life, with a light and airy feeling that recalls the Caribbean. The grill cooks up California cuisine with an island twist. The Bimini bread, oatmeal and molasses yeast with honey inside, is popular enough to attract crowds on its own. The pasta dish and salads are creative. Do it island-style with the chef's cut prime rib, 14 ounces of juicy beef.
Meat Market. A big plus (or minus depending on your status) is that the Bimini Baot Yark is a hangout for the singles set looking for opposites. Some of it is quite obvious and distracting from an evening dining
Bimini Boat Yard -- Good Eats/Great View. Try the conch salad or the Bimini Burger, they're great!
