TERRIBLE I WILL NEVER GO HERE EVRN AGAIN TERRIBLE TERRIBLE WAS ABOUT TO CURSE THE WAITERS AND MANAGER OUT BECAUSE ITS NASTY AND THEY NEED TO BE CLOSED DOWN!!! ASAP!!!!!!
Worst Customer Service (management especially). I will never bring a guest. The customer service is absolutely terrible (management). I have a complete distaste!!!!! So angry!
Bimini Boatyard. Took our family for my Mom's B'day Brunch. The food and selection was great as was the service!! They've done a beautiful job on the renovation of this establishment. The ambience at our inside table by the window was spectacular and we especially loved the backround sounds of the live steel drum musician only steps away from us. We live in Ft. Laud. yet felt like we were in the Carribean. Only problem, if at all possible you've got to leave room for the dessert offerings because they are to die for.
Probably not worth it. The service was at best indifferent, bordering surly. With so many places to go that offer good food and service why go here?
Not great, but ok.
A group of 5 of us went to Bimini Boatyard for lunch on the advice of our hotel concierge. Two people arrived a few minutes before the rest of us. When we told the hostess we were meeting a couple of people who were already there, she said we were welcome to walk around and find them. Since they had arrived just a few minutes before the rest of us, I would have thought she would know where she seated them and would be able to take us to them.
The server wasn't awful, but we did have to ask for refills and other things like ketchup for our fries. I guess I would characterize the service overall as indifferent.
The food was ok. I had the grilled mahi mahi sandwich. It tasted ok. It came with shoestring fries. I'd prefer a thicker french fry, but whatever.
Even though there weren't very many people in the restaurant, it seemed very noisy, and it was hard to hear what people at the other side of our table were saying. Perhaps that was because another large party was right beside us. Since there weren't that many people in the place, i wish the hostess would have had us sit a little bit further from the large party.
Overall, the place wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. it just...was
Used to be a great place, no more. Used to get great salads and other menu items at a reasonable price. New decor new menu not so exiting, Expensive, Sunday brunch costing over $40.00 per person? what do they think they are? the W hotel? i don't think so.
Pass on this one!.
We visited during the Ft Lauderdale Yacht Show. Great location and nicely themed upscale casual atmosphere. We ordered Grilled Mahi Mahi and a Porterhouse steak, The fish was dry and overcooked and the steak was Pork Tenderloin. Waiter claimed he misunderstood order but had asked how to cook the steak. Second round of beers were served warm and rather than replacing them waiter offered to put them on ice for a while. The manager apologized and replaced the Mahi Mahi with Swordfish and reordered the steak.
The steak was extremely tough and lacked any flavor. The Swordfish was very good and cooked just right. The waiter developed an attitude and removed the steak and warm beers from the bill. The restaurant looks great but lacks everywhere else.
Great Seafood with a Caribbean slant.
We were told by relatives here in F/L to go see the place. Great location on the river and great food.
We all loved it. The menu was kool. The Seafood all stylized in a Caribbean nature, was some of the best we had the whole week we were here.
The dining room is large. Enough room to fit a small army. The view of the yachts outside made for a great backdrop for dining.
The patio was too hot, so we went inside for dinner. They need canopies outside or something.
Really good overall.
This is the place to go......
We were on vacation in Fort Lauderdale in March. The concereige at our hotel this is the place to go for a great Caribbean food experience.
He was right. the menu was very innovative and extremely decorative.
We came back for lunch the next day and found the room full. The lunch business was better than the dinner business the night before. The crowd was mostly local business people. You could tell because people were getting up from their tables and visiting others on other tables. Any placer that is this busy for lunch and dinner must be a great restaurant.
We loved both times we were there.
Beautiful space and very good service.. The high beamed ceilings and waterfront location make this a very beautiful space. Avoid the Bimini Bread. It's basically a sticky roll. Not appropriate for an appetizer and you have to get up and wash your hands afterwards. The crab cakes were meaty and very good. The grouper was just so so. The fish was hot but the sides were almost cold.
