Tips for Southport Raw Bar

Great staple in Fort Lauderdale.
This place has been a cornerstone in Fort Lauderdale for almost 40 years...an eternity by South Florida standards. The place is very relaxed and is a watering spot for a lot of locals. The deck is nice and roomy, other waterside restaurants would pack more seats in to cram you in. Prices are cheap, but don't think it comes withough quality...nothing will "knock your socks off"...but then again you wouldn't expect it to. The food items are mostly seafood fare that are simple...steamed clams with lemon and drawn butter, peel and eat spicy bay shrimp, grilled fish, etc. Most of the staff has been with them for years, so if you keep returning, don't be surprised to find a new buddy. Speaking of "buddy"...say, "Hi" to Buddy one of the manager/owners who is always in a great mood!!
