I must say i absolutey loved this school when i went there. I never had any issues with any teachers in fact the small class size made it a lot easier to get the attention I needed when I had a hard time with anything. I still remember the impact a teacher made on me Mrs. Meeks was not only a wonderful teacher but a great mentor as well. She always taught life lessons and she made absolutely fun. Also my little sister attended the school starting at 6 weeks old the nursery school teachers were always very professional. They also showed grat amounts of TLC for the children. Never did we have any bad expierences with anything. I wish words could express how much I loved being a student!
Do not send your children to this school..
I sent my 5mth old daughter to this school in 2008, and had a very bad experience. She was ok in the infant room however there were alot of little things that just seemed odd that the teachers were doing, like putting a blanket over their faces when it was naptime so they would fall asleep and thats just one. The next class was the one i was always leary about, the teacher was cold, rude, and just not the person you would want looking after your child. I had my suspicious and would always feel very uneasy about dropping my child off but as a first time mom I didnt want to over react at something that may not be true. My uneasy feeling was correct. My child was left to cry alot and called a cry baby, she was left on the cold floor with a onesie on and a cold bottle, while the teacher had her back to my daughter holding another child. My child was made to stay in a wet or dirty diaper and when she had to go in her diaper she would want to stand up and she was made to sit down, she was deprived of her sleep, she would always fall asleep at the table at lunch and her teacher would say oh she always sleeps at lunch, i said because she is a baby she needs two naps a day and you need to give them to her. My daughter was force fed when she didnt want to eat and the list goes on. The other children were teased and one was hung upside down for a brief moment, he was acting up and the teacher while i was there said watch this and hung him upside down and he cried and then she put him down. I questioned alot of things and there was always an excuse or a reason and i tryed to believe she was a good teacher and that maybe i was a bit protective. She called children lazy, didnt console them when they were upset, it was a nightmare. My child was in that class for approximatley 4 months and moved on to another class, however we pulled her out anyway and reported the school to the Sheriffs office and DCF. They investigated, fired the one year old teacher, however the minister and director are still there and they were the ones that allowed it to go on, they were well aware of the situation, they actually had suspended this teacher before for innapropriate activities. I have to live with the nightmare forever. Im sure the school has cleaned their act up a little however if they get another bad teacher in there, who is going to stop them.......the director and minister didnt before, why would they now. They are not proactive in the school and there is not enough monitoring or actions taken when things go wrong. Dont take a chance on your child with this school.
