The Best German Restaurant in Town. This was fun. We have stopped in before for a bier but this time we came with friends. There is good feeling that comes after deciding to enjoy a liter and some traditional German music. The old Heidelberg Restaurant could be described as a "meat and potatoes" kind of place and it is. The ambiance is reminiscent of the Bavaria era. I say, If your in a hurry just stop in for a half liter.

Whites only. Went there yesterday. The food was excellent if you are into German / Bavarian fare like I am. However the wait staff was very rude and probably a little racist. I could see preferential treatment given to whites both at the bar and in the restaurant. I had to go to a lot of trouble to get any service at all and after 45 mins of being sidelined, I decided I had had enough. So should you go? Thats up to you, but I can tell you this, if you don't look white, go across the road to the Subway.

Authentic atmosphere. This restaurant boasts authentic German cuisine and most waiters and waitresses speak German. They have a great selection of German beers. I definately would recommend this to anyone wanting a taste of Germany. My only complaint is some of the side items (i.e. red cabbage) tastes as if were from the can.
