The worst service ever!! Please don't go there!! they promised me 3 weeks delivery and then become 6 weeks, when i called to cancel they told me you can't cancel, Cooperate Rules! What kind of Cooperate is that? i end up calling AMEX to dispute the charge, if you plan to deal this company be ready for big lies and unprofessional team!
We ordered dining room furniture 4 months ago in February....after paying in full, and waiting 3 months for the buffet, found out that it would not be here until perhaps June...so, we agreed to accept the floor sample (for a $200 discounted price). After way too many calls trying to find out when that would be delivered, and being told by my salesperson 'WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM US'???, I realized the problem was me....my expectations were way too high. We are STILL waiting for the table pads, which were supposedly ordered early February and still waiting for the discount check! I'm only hoping that all this will be resolved before the doors are closed. In this economic climate, you would think that businesses are just so appreciative to have customers coming in and spending money??
What a disapointment. Just recently bought some furniture. Th store couldn't even provide with pictures of the furniture: you buy by seeing the few floor samples. After I have paid the half, the furniture arrived to the storage almost two and a half month later. Then you have to go to the store, pay the other half and set a delivery date. The store sales personnel are the most unfriendly I have ever encountered: no a "hello" when you come in no "thank you for your purchase" or "good bye" when you leave. I am not surprised that Carl's Furniture stores one by one are closing down. I would never ever step my foot in Carl's Furniture stores. What a shame, they used to be such a wonderful place to shop. My advice to the Management: fire all those ugly and vicious women that work for you.
Misrepresentation/Lies. We gave a 50% deposit to this store for a Natuzzi sofa which was supposed to be manufactured in Italy. The salesperson assured us, at least two times, that it would be made in Italy and even told us she called the factory in Italy to make sure they received the order correctly. We were told to wait 4 months for delivery. After 6 months and many phone calls, they tried to deliver the sofa today which we refused as it was made in China. I called the credit card company to inform them of this deceit and spoke with the manager who will speak with the corporate office Monday morning and call us back Monday, late morning. The salesperson flat out lied to us, several times, and lied to us again today stating she told us it might be manufactured in Brazil or China. We would have never ordered a sofa it we thought there was even a remote chance that it would be made in China. We await Carl's next move regarding this situation.

After making a furniture purchase at this Carl's location by check, I was informed a few days later that the item was previously sold and out of stock. Not finding a substitute, I demanded my money back. I was informed it would take 1-2 weeks. (WHY?) . After weeks of phone calls and lies, I finally got my refund. SEVEN (7) WEEKS later.
In another instance, a friend of mine purchased a couch and Loveseat. The couch got delivered the loveseat did not. Several weeks passed and phone calls back and forth.....finally they find a loveseat and notify friend of delivery. Delivery is made, loveseat is stained and they cannot find the legs that goes on it.......waiting weeks still no resolution.
They are quick to take your money, but as soon as there's a problem, they duck and hide !!!!
horrible service. after purchasing a oversized expensive dining room set it arrived. after two months when we put in the leaves for the first time. they didnt fit!!! they sent a handy man who drilled holes in to the table, however the leaves are still too wide. the company no longer produces this set and they refuse to reimburse us. now they picked up the chairs and table ( for some reason not the china closet) returned the damaged table (since they cant sell it anyways) without the chairs and weve been waiting for 5 weeks to get reimbursed being transfered from one office to the next. We are in the process of taking legal action, but the pain that this store has caused us hours of waiting on the phone etc. cant be reimbursed... wish i would have read reviews online prior to dealing with this store. my advice stay away!!!
Buyer Beware. I bought a sofa at Carl's Furniture on 5-17-09, which they promised me would be ready by the end of June. I was willing to wait a month for a good quality sofa. They could not deliver the sofa on time and I was informed by the sales staff that it would be arriving by the 4th of July. The 4th came and went without any communication about the delivery of my sofa. So I called to inquire about the delivery of my sofa, for which I paid cash. Then I was informed they don't know why it hasn't arrived yet and they need to call the factory to find out where it is. Next they promised to have the sofa by the end of Aug. At that point I decided to cancel the sale because I had no confidence they were actually telling the truth about the delivery date in the end of Aug. Next, since I had paid cash in advance I requested a refund. The nasty attitude displayed by the manager was remarkable. However, he informed me that they legally had 2-4 weeks according to the sales contract to refund my money. He promised to expedite the refund for me. I was still waiting for my refund 26 days later when it arrived just within the legal frame work of the sales contract. The lack of respect for the customer was shameful on behalf the management and I would never do business again with this company.
