Definitely worth the trip~!. What I liked most was the food and ambience! I totally recommend this hidden gem for cozy dinners or fun group dinners. I wasn't sure what to expect, especially since the restaurant was located in a strip mall and it's very easy to miss. Once you walk in, it's like you've stepped into a cafe in Italy. Two thumbs up!

EXCELLENT. Truly authentic Italian food, owned by Italians. This restaurant truly lives up to all the positive feedback it has received. The place is small and quaint and non pretentious. Great place for a date. I brought my wife here on Valentines day, and despite the place being packed, food nor service was sacrificed. They also gave all the women a rose at the end of your diner, which I though was a nice gesture. Try the carpaccio!! Try this place, as you will not be disappointed.

New Years Eve. My wife and used previous comments in this forum to try this restaurant recently on New Year's eve 2005 and it lived up to its reputation. The service, food, and ambience were excellent. We could not have gone to a better establishment for our holiday in Florida. We come from an area where Italian food is common and very well prepared. Cafe Vico was outstanding. We spoke to some local regulars at the next table for tips on some of their better dishes and their opinion was to try anything on the menu, and we now agree.

Classic Italian eatery offers home cooking and familial atmosphere.. The Scene
Flickering candle lamps, dark woods, polished Mexican tile and gracious service make Vico one of the most romantic small restaurants in South Florida. Three cozy rooms have ceilings that open into a glowing faux-evening sky; walls are painted terra cotta and decorated with photos of celebrities. Place settings include exquisite unmatched hand-painted plates, cobalt blue glasses and starched linens. The family that runs Vico treats every customer like an honored family member.

The Food
The excellent, reasonably priced Italian fare includes antipasti, carpaccio, mussels and soups; homemade gnocchi, chicken and veal dishes. Nightly specials might include a mixed greens with blueberries and Gorgonzola salad; a hot appetizer, such as mozzarella wrapped in fried bread; and a pasta such as lobster ravioli. Look for seared rare tuna and Vico's osso buco. Desserts are spectacular: ricotta cheesecake, chocolate mousse, apple torta and tiramisu. Complimentary glasses of sambuca are served with your espresso.

A Wonderful Night Out. If you love Italian food, this is the place to go. The room is sufficiently lit to read the menu but the lighting is soft. The food is exquisite. The stuffed veal chop and osso buco was incredible as was the hot appetizer. The veal chop oozed with cheese and the proscuitto was wonderful. The mussels and clams on the hot appetizer were good but the grilled calamari was right from Sicily. The roasted eggplant in a balsamic vinagarette on the platter was to die for. Save room for tiramisu

Expensive Risotto. All the food is greta but watch out for specials...they are expensive,. We paid $27 for a risotto ! vegetarian. WOW.!

Super Delicious. From the moment you walk in the resturant till the time you leave you will recieve their excellent service we all deserve. The Lasagna was Super Delicious, Anyone who plans to go to Cafe Vico MUST try the Lasagna.

best italian restaurant. I am in the restaurant bussines...and i have to tell you that this is THE BEST Italian restaurant i have ever gone to....great ambience, beautiful people, .....i had a very good waiter....i don't quiet remember his name, but he had long hair....and sounded brazilian......awesome service......hands down

Great Place. I took my wife to Cafe Vico for her birthday and we had an incredible experience. The food was superb, the service excellent, and the whole experience spectacular. Best of all Vico is affordable enough to go regularly without breaking the bank. Highly recommed.

Excellent Service. I can say that the the food and service was superb. My guests could not stop talking about the wonderful service and food they received. Cafe Vico thank you for making taking care of my guests. I will highly recommend your restuarant to all my friends.
