Il Mulino. One of my favorite restaurants in Fort Lauderdale. I always eat there several times when I am in town. They have really good food and the service is the best.
excellent stuffed breads. I love the garlic rolls. Stuffed bread recipes are original and interesting. I would go again, when I am in ft lauderdale.
Just Another Olive Garden.
Very disappointing and goes to show you what happens when the real owners aren't involved any longer. Such a disappointment! Something always gets lost in translation and as for garlic rolls??? An authentic Italian restaurant would never serve garlic rolls. I have to agree with STACYPIE!
Another horrible example of commercialism and a new Olive Garden!
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Locals flock for traditional Italian cuisine served in a casual atmosphere with friendly, attentive service.
Inconsistent, disappointing...doesn't even compare to food in NYC.. Been here a few times and the food is inconsistent. I really enjoyed the Fettucini Saporite and ordered it again and it was dry with very little sauce and raw spinach leaves. The pasta is excellent though. My husband ordered the Chicken Balsalmico. The chicken was rubbery. He also asked for the artichokes on the side and they came out cold like the just came out of the refrigerator cold. So, he ordered something else. He sent back the Penne Alla Vodka because the sauce was way too strong- 3 of us agreed with that one. The waitress was terrible. Never called over the manager and was lax with getting our waters to us- served the appetizer before we even were served water- very poor service. My husband spoke to the manager who told him the vodka sauce is not even made there- they buy it. The best part was the mozzarella sticks- great appetizer. Very disappointed that the food isn't as good with every visit there.
User review by brookal2. It really is true what everyone says -- such a great place. Social and jovial inside -- great for a fun date or with kids or for when your parents are visiting you when they come down for the winter. Very good food and very good value. Nothing I wouldn't recommend about this restaurant. No reservations and gets very crowded, especially on weekends, of course. So come early, or not too hungry yet, or thirsty for a drink at the bar while you're waiting.
Great food- Go early. Excellent Italian food- Great pizza and pasta. The salad dressing is to die for. But be sure to go before 7 if you don't want to wait on line. They don't take reservations.
User review by urbabygurl7. Il Mulino is def the best! I moved to NYC and haven't found anything that compares, especially to the Baked Ziti. Haven't had a bad dish there. THe garlic bread is really great. Too bad they dont have one in NY :(
Best Italian Food in Town!. I frequent Il Mulino at least once a week. Food is very tasty, generous portions, great prices, and friendly wait-staff. I've tried almost every other Italian restaurant within Broward County and always come back to Il Mulino. Try the eggplant parm... best in the country!!
Cheap Italian. Good lunch Italian place, inexpensive good food. The menu seemed a bit limited but had good options for lunch. The food came a bit slowly, but that seemed more a kitchen issue than a waitress one.
