Not impressed. Typical mexican-american fast food style, but far from authentic. I felt like I was eating in a cafeteria. I do not understand why the place was so packed considering there was nothing special about the food or atmosphere and a person can to one of the many authentic mexican restaurants and get much better food for lower prices. Our server was very nice and attentive.

Wow you are the only person I have ever heard of who does not like the food at this place in my opinion it is the best around by far and not at all like a cafeteria it is busy like one because the food is GREAT! When I order the and the food comes it actually puts me a in good mood and a smile on my face every time.

Everyone can have an opinion but I strongly disagree.

The Best Mexican Around Coral Springs and Vicinity. Sometimes on weekends, you may have to wait about 45 minutes. But it is worth the wait. I have been going to La Bamba for several years and the food is always consistent in its quality and freshness.

I ordered their Pollo a la Plancha ($12.95), a marinated grilled chicken breast topped with lots of sauteed onions. A generous portion of white rice and black beans are also included. The sweet plantains are soft and absolutely fantastic. Some other restaurants seem to either overcook or undercook their plantains. La Bamba always gets it right. The chicken is marinated with what tastes like lime and other spices I can't put my finger on. But the results are splendid. I tried to duplicate their grilled chicken at home and couldn't. Leave the cooking up to La Bamba.

I recommend this wonderfully relaxing restaurant to every one. Look for more reviews at dining coupons online.

Worst Mexican Restaurant. There's only onions and more onions. The salsa should be renamed "Onion Dip Salsa." If you live to eat onions, then you will like all the food. The salsa needs to get the real ingredient back into it, the tomatoe, and some fresh pepper even.

The margarita was even a disappointment and the service was poor.

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Bustling Mexican restaurant serves traditional cuisine and offers a full bar, kid's menu and a selection of margaritas.

The worst chicken ever!. Buyer beware. I've had better chicken at Pollo Tropical. I have no idea what everybody is talking about. Not only did they charge me $10.49 for chicken, rice, black beans and plantains, but it was terrible. That entire meal would have cost me, maybe, $7 at Pollo and tasted better! I cannot stress enough how terrible this place is.

The BEST (real crab) Crab Nachos. Absolutely the best - Food, Appetizers, Margaritas, Service and well priced - great for any day of the week. You will not find better Mexican food in Florida and Margate location is better than the Lake Worth Location

Good food and Great Margaritas!. My description of Labambas has always been good food and great Margaritas, but the food is great as well. While other restraurants claim to be Mexican, Labambas really delivers of authenticity. This is not a Tex Mex, but truly Mexican/Spanish food. I am part of the regular group that goes to Labambas at least three times a week and any one of us would highly recommend the food. Most items including steak dishes are under $15, with a larger choice of dishes around $8. Monday's are Margarita night, which is usually packed, so be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes(if you're lucky). Labambas is also usually crowded on other nights, so that alone would speak to how good the food is. Kids menus are non existant, but my children usually share fajitas with me or have a taco dinner.

OK, but I've had better. I enjoy this La Bamba, but it's never anything really fantastic. Like someone mentioned, their pulled chicken dishes are quite bland. Service is 50/50. They do have the best margaritas in town though, IMO. I have also been to the Ft. Lauderdale La Bamba (which I don't know why it's not on here) but that one is always horrible. Never been to the one in Sunrise, which seems to be the actual restaurant most people are voting for on here.

My favorite local Mexican restaurant is Yucatan in Deerfield Beach. Good food! Don't know why it's not on here either!

Best Mexican Food. La Bamba is the best Mexican Food in all of South Florida. We come from Southern California and this is the closest we've found to Good Authentic Mexican Food since we came to Florida.

Great Mexican Food. I have been giong to the Sunrise location for the past 6 or 7 years. This has to be the best Mexican food in town. At least one of the family owners are always there to see that service and food quality is consistantly great!
