Don't waste your time. The service was horrible the portion was small and the marsala was so peppery my mouith burned. I reccomend eating at Campanogolo!
La Veranda was terrible.
We ate at La Veranda last night. 7 People. The decor and ambiance were nice. The interior was warm and inviting but that was the best part of the night.
We were one of the first ones to be seated around 5:30pm. The salads came out and it looked wilted. The tomatoes were terrible and the salad was nothing more than completely ordinary. The house salad dressing was good. The garlic bread was good.
Our entrees came out two at a time, at ten minute intervals. Not only did the main dish not come out at the same time but it came out cold. My mother, grandmother and son had to send their dishes back immediately. We noted our displeasure to the waitress who said she would speak to the chef.
My food was last to arrive but my son had to send back his pasta dish a second time to be re-heated. Now being considerably annoyed, I asked to speak to the owner who just shrugged, said something in Italian and left without giving us a second thought.
My 90 year old grandmother hated her lamp chops. My linguine with white clam sauce was terrible. The portion was small and the clams were frozen. My kids did not like the spaghetti and meatballs. The whole table disliked the food.
We go out to dinner a lot and when you pay money to dine you at least hope to have decent food and decent service. When you have a dinner like ours, it spoils the whole night.
The attitude our waitress and the owner was deplorable and downright obnoxious. Someone needs to give them lessons in holiday cheer.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this place to anyone who wants good food and service. If you are looking to get small portions, bad food and bad service than La Veranda is for you.
The attitude of the owner promoted this post and ensured that no one from my family will ever contribute a dollar to that place.
Adorable place, authentic feel.
This place is so cute! You would never know this gem existed on US 1 and Atlantic Avenue!
The host (owner?) greeted us in Italian, which was charming. The food is a little pricey, but not outrageous. I got spaghetti and meatballs, which was very, very good, for $18 (yikes), but it did come with bread and salad. If the weather is nice, choose outdoor seating. I kept saying to my friend, "Are we in Europe?" It really feels that way. I recommend this place.
Beautiful! Great food!. From the moment you walk up to the sparkle lights and flower petals on the ground you are hooked. The food is great and the service is even better! This place is always packed and I think that's a good thing. That means they will stay in business and I can keep going!
