A little ole' country general store serving down-home foods and goods since 1969..
In Short
Originating in Lebanon Texas, this country store and restaurant has branched out all over the U.S. The décor includes old advertising signs, farm equipment, early kitchen appliances and photos which complement the country-style seating. Their menu includes home-style comfort foods like meatloaf and house-made mashed potatoes daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure to stop into the gift shop for souvenirs and a variety of knick-knacks.

Great Food - could use some work on the service.
My family loves road trips and as the matriarch of the family I usually choose to have at least a couple of meals at the Cracker Barrel. I love the atmosphere, the food is always great and the store is full of stuff that takes me back to my childhood. I have traveled up and down the east coast and have visited many Cracker Barrels ? I can?t get over the difference there is in the quality of service once you go south of West Palm! What is usually a great eating experience quickly turns to frustrating after getting terrible service ? CONSISTANTLY! We came in one evening ? the restaurant was not full and were seated quickly. Our server kept complaining and just would not take care of business. After about 1 hour we found ourselves with incomplete orders, half our food did not make it because they had run out and we were surrounded by a sea of messy tables. No one was bussing, the kitchen seemed to run out of specific items and the wait staff seemed to be non existent. Not only did this happen to us at the Boca location, but also at Boynton.
I will be trying out the newest Cracker Barrel in Homestead, but the others left a bad impression. It?s a shame because the food is great!

Great food that is tastes like grandma cooked it!.
At last I found a place where the food tastes like my grandma cooked it (and my grandma made everything from scratch).
The boutique adjacent to the restaurant has the most lovliest things not found anywhere else (great for original, beautiful gifting).

felt nauseous.
I prefer Dennys breakfast over cracker barrel breakfast. I thougt the food was tasteless. I also did not like their syrup and biscuits and gravy.

Food always excellent.
No matter what time of day you always have to wait up to 45 mins. to get a table. However, if you have the time to stay, roam the store, many nice things to buy at reasonable prices. I try and go to one everytime we travel if they are available. Unfortunately they haven't gotten out to CA yet, but plenty here on the east coast.

Down home cooking at affordable prices.
Cracker Barrel has the best down home cooking in South Florida. The prices are affordable and the service is great. Two thumbs up and a potato cheese casserole to go.

Overpriced chain food.
Was hoping for more and got alot less than expected. Guess they have gotten too big and corporate.

HOW SWEET IT IS.
THE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE IS GREAT (WHEN AVAILABLE). IF THEY ARE BUSY YOU GIVE YOUR NAME AND THE WAIT IS SPENT IN THE STORE, WHICH HAS SO MANY GOODIES TO LOOK AT OR BUY. THE PRICES ARE GREAT ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. THE BISCUTS AND GRAVY TASTE FRESHLY MADE.
