Terrible Food and Bad Service. This restaurant is terrible, and nothing like it's former counterpart ("John" the Baker). Don't confuse the two. The service was the worst I have encountered in recent years. I had to stop the waiter from repeatedly insulting my wife and daughter. The advertisement for "any pizza" for $10 on Thrusday is miseading "any pizza" and "any toppings" doesn't include many of the pizzas or toppings. The restaurant is a rip off... added charges to my charge receipt after providing a bill without those charges... tried to trick us. I have to agree with the other comment that the "obese owner" just stands there and watches the poor service, never lifting a hand. The service staff is grungy looking and very unprofessional. The restrooms were disgusting, even the urinals were full of nasty feces, and looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in many days... the odor was terrible. I also tried to use a pre-paid Social Living gift certificate but was told that I would have to pay almost twice the price that everyone else in the restaurant was paying for the same food... simply dishonest. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE. Instead save your money and try "JOHN THE BAKER" on Sterling Street in Cooper City. I will never eat at this restaurant again.

AWESOME. Very kid friendly and the food is so good! Don't listen to ANY of the below comments! They are out of their minds and obviously do NOT appreciate authentic Italian food! I would reccommend this fantastic Italian -family owned facitlity to ANYONE who is wanting good food! LOVE IT! Can't wait to go back!

Worst Food Ever. I will never go to John the Baker again. The food was absolutely disgusting. My family and I ordered Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmigiana and a large cheese pizza. First of all, I don't know what they call chicken marsala, because for one it's in an orange sauce, two there is no wine in it, and three it tasted watery and very bland. The chicken parmigiana we ordered was brought to the table burnt and it tasted like complete rubber. It was so hard to chew I could have broken some teeth eating it. The pizza was okay but nothing to brag about. John needs to step it up a notch, otherwise he could go out of business! I think the only thing I enjoyed here was the fountain soda. Never again!

Pizza is OK, but the garlic knots are the best!. PIzza is OK. It's not the best I've had in the area. Umberto's on University Drive is the best in my opinion. The garlic knots are great. The dinners are pretty good too. I guess it just depends on who is making the pie's when you eat there. My pie was very stingy on the cheese and full of bubbles in the crust. I'm told this is from not letting the dough rise long enough. I'll try them again in Cooper City. I don't blame them for leaving the old place, the plaza is dead ever since the Home Depot closed up. Also, they don't take credit cards.
