Pembroke Pines locals, beware. Really horrible pizza and the garlic knots are even worse. After ordering cheese pizza, garlic knots and a 1/2 onion and 1/2 bacon pizza, we brought everything home and discovered the cheese pizza was completely burned on the bottom. The garlic knots were stale and, although we didn't contact the owner until a day later, were told there was nothing he could do. BULL there isn't HE OWNS THE PLACE! I have the pizza, rolls and receipt and he said I had to call the nite I received the pizza.

WE WILL NOT GO BACK! Family owned? Yes, by a family that is too big for their britches.

Damn good pizza!!. Me and my buddy just moved here not to long ago, and havent been able to find a good pizza joint. Well, now we found it. went to umbertos about a month ago.Great sicilian syle pizza. I dont know what cheese they use but it tastes like the pizza from home... I believe its family run, probably why its such a great mom and pop place. Seems to have an older crowd. service is great waitress had a great personality, and definately not bad on the eyes. I think her name was Denise. all and all our experience was great and we wil be back there very soon

Umberto's Can't Be Beat!. I have lived in South Florida for the last 10 years and have NEVER had a better pizza than the one I get at Umberto's! I love sausage on my pizza and they use homemade fresh sliced sausage, not that crumbled garbage sausage. They make this Grandma's pizza....WOW!! The owners are awesome; family ran establishment, all the comforts of home plus great food. Denise and Maria; great girls, great servers, always polite and friendly. Ask for them, they will not disappoint.

Best Italian food around!!. I have been living in Pembroke Pines all my life. My family and I (past and present) visit Umberto's at least once a week and get football Sunday delivery's. They have the BEST pizza, chicken wings, garlic knots, homemade mozzarella sticks and fried calamari ever! I love there menu, it has a huge variety of Italian entrees and newly added Penn Ala Vodka (best I ever had anywhere). A must go to restaurant for Italian food!

Umberto's is the best!. The service and food were excellent. My absolute favorite though is their garlic rolls and if you haven't tasted their italian cheesecake, then I highly recommend that you do. Originally from Florida but now live in Alabama (a southern belle took me away), I was introduced to this place by my sister on a return trip. If only I had discovered Umberto's when I still lived there, I may have never moved. Whenever I am in town, I always make time to eat at my favorite restaurant, Umberto's. I highly recommend it.

Very good find in 2009. Family place, not pretty, a joint. Pizza VERY good, Veal Parm,Wonderful! I lived in Brooklyn for 2 years and used my BKLYN food-snobiness test for all Italian places down here. I like I bring my buddies to eat here, the soup is good, pasta real good, seats-uncomfortable, but I don't eat the seats. I can't wait to go back, prices are reasonable.

AWFUL FOOD!!!!. This restaurant left me a FOUL mood for the rest of the day. The bread, salad, sent back dinner, and re-cooked dinner were all terrible and tasteless. I am the least picky eater alive (I'll eat off the floor and be happy), but I couldn't take more than 3 bites of my food. Don't try complaining though because both the waitstaff AND owner are terribly rude and unsympathetic. When I tried to let the owner know how awful my dinner was, before I opened my mouth he said to me, "I will not take the charge off for this meal". I told him that I wasn't interested in the charge, just wanted to inform him that his kitchen is sending out non-edible food. He replied by making this MY fault by telling me I ordered something that was not on the menu (I asked them to mix red sauce and alfredo, which came out as a thick solid paste on my plate). He then walked away without so much as an apology. The only way I figure this restaurant stays in business is by feeding their gruel to the senile! AWFUL!!!!

Umbertos pizza. Cheese pizza. sounds plane right? but its not here! its the BEST cheese and the best sauce. amazing. i am 5'2 and 120 lbs and i could eat a whole large pizza if u let me. best pizza joint and ive tasted marcella's which is my second best. and anthony's cold fire, and vocelli's, and oasis greek pizza-which is on the beach. just to name a few. and this is still my fav. i get it delivered and pick it up, and they r always on time. great service. and the garlic rolls are yummy too:)

Umberto's - A great Family Restaurant!!. I LOVE this restaurant! It has be a neighborhood favorite for years. I am a huge fan of seafood dishes and I can't say enough about the seafood at Umberto's. I love there Seafood Casino; delicious, the Seafood Feast for two red or white is an excellent choice for a romantic dinner for two, there Shrimp Scampi is divine, and the baked clams, yummy YUM (we always order two orders). If you want a great seafood dinner, you must try Umberto's.

Not Recommended. I went to Umberto's last Sunday with some friends and it was not a pleasant experience. The service was slow and rude, the food was boring and tasteless, and the decor was a nightmare. It seems to cater mostly to the elderly and it shows in their clientele (ie. the bland food and outdated ambiance) I felt like I was in Century Village.
