DANGER SCAM!!. Do not buy anything from this company they will steal your money like they did to me $200 gone this place should not be in business!
Terrible Company beware their also on ebay.
Hello, on 5/7/2012 I called and purchased a remanufactured automotive engine computer for a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It arrived in a timely manner 3 days later on 5/10/20122. Before it arrived I
checked the web site of the company I purchased the product from and noticed there were many complaints, so I called Auto computer exchange and they reassured me that they were just unsatisfied customers and had no real verifiable problems. So I installed their product and it caused more damage than I had before. The part they sold me burned up the camshaft sensor of the Jeep I was working on and caused a no start condition, so I installed a new cam sensor and re-installed the customers original computer, the Jeep started perfectly. I called Auto computer exchange and explained the symptoms to them. The warranty clerk was adamant that I had mis-diagnosed the problem and hung up the phone. I called them back and tried to explain what had happened again and the clerk was terribly rude. He did say that he would issue me a store credit, but seeing all the bad customer reviews I cannot afford to install bad parts on customer's vehicles and spend hundreds of dollars in labor time and parts reaffirming that the problem is their product. I paid them $180.00 and spent $80.00 on two cam sensors and 3 hours labor time @ $80.00 per hour. Totaling $500.00. Also I had to refer my customer to the Jeep dealer to have a new computer installed, to correct the original problem. My order # is 10091969. Customer # is 1065919. The sales person on the invoice say's Nancy. I might add that I am a ASE Master mechanic with 40 years of experience and have never had a problem like this with any after market parts vender. As from what I surmise they are removing computers from salvaged vehicles and selling them to the public, not knowing if they are good or bad parts! Some customers get lucky and some don't.
Sincerely, Patrick Murray…
Find someone else (No Intergrity Here).
Sent computer in for repair (Under Lifetime Warranty) still charged for repair.
Asked for an itemized receipt for parts replaced, they said that they would do that, but when received no parts were listed.
Item was shipped in a large box with hardly any packing. The unit came broken. Called Auto Computer Exchange and they would not take responsibility for the packing, told me to complain to UPS or ship it back. Not about to ship it back to them from California. Had to have a custom bracket made (out of my expense) to be able to install the unit back into the car. Absolutely no quality control even in their packing for shipping back to you. Absolutely no taking responsibility for their own mistakes.
Not Honest, No Integrity - A company you do not want to deal with!!!
You will be disappointed and they do not care one bit!…
This Company Sucks. We are an award winning AAA shop that have Ase certified technicians. Ordered a computer from this company and found that the computer would not work when installed. Tried to explain this to their assistant manager and all he wanted to tell me is that there was another problem with the vehicle. The old computer would start the vehicle and make it run but the new one would not even start the vehicle. The customer service skills at this company are completely lacking and they think that they can diagnose a vehicle over the phone is outragous. Would never ever try to buy something from this company again.…
No Scam for me. I called in and Dexter helped me out to get the correct unit for my Dodge. Had mechanic install and everything is good. I can't complain.
