Great time. Very nice relaxed atmosphere. Good food and drinks. Try the shrimp appetizer and Mango Mojito!

Laid-Back with Good Cheap Food & Drinks. Since moving to Hollywood in July of this year, this bar/restaurant has become one of my favorite places. The food is cheap & good: a snow crab leg dinner for $9.99; a fried clam (large) appetizer for $5.99. My favorite, though, are the jalapeno poppers, which are a little pricy, but unlike any I've had at other restaurants - they're more like fried cream chesse with big pieces of jalapeno in them. Drink prices are also excellent - they have at least one or two specials everyday. And service (at the bar) is mostly very good, though at "shift change time", things can get a little unorganized. Unfortunately, I live too far away from the restaurant for it to be a regular "hang-out" for me. If you like good prices, a varied menu, and a casual atmosphere, where families are also more than welcomed, I would highly recommend you try this place out. (Note: The Ale House is actually part of a chain of "Ale Houses" located in Southern Florida - one of which is located on Pembroke Pines Blvd. This is the the only other one I've been to - and my expereinces there have been just as positive as those at the Hollywood ale house.)

Hollywood Ale House in the oakwood plaza. Do not eat at hollywood ale house, it's a three ring circus. the waiters and waitresses don't use gloves when getting your food. I witness 3 disturbing things: A waitress place chicken on someones salad without gloves after handling condiments, a waiter who dropped a piece of chicken on the service counter and pick it up ungloved, then placed it back on the plate. The last and most disgusting thing was a waiter who put his finger in a patron's marinara sauce, then delivered it to the table. Did I complain, sure and was the waiter shocked, yes! He says to one of the cooks, "Did they see me?" I replied yes I did and told him how disgusting that was. He said he was checking to see how hot it was and I said with you finger? He could any number of diseases and now he's exposed patrons to it. What did manager Christian do, well, he took up for the waiter after myself and a friend saw all these disturbing things happen. It's a joke how these things happen in this reputable restuarant and nothing but covering up is done. I am completely outraged at how they put us patrons at risk! Don't eat there, its' disgusting.
