I have never written a negative review
on a resturaunt before but this place more than deserves it. I found this place on the internet with some good reviews, while looking for a good place for brunch. We were really exicited when we got there and looked around the bakery at all the delicious looking pastries. We went in with my 3 year old son and ordered eggs Benedict, eggs Florentine, 2 orders of french toast and 2 coffes. The food took over 35 minutes to come out. Dispite the fact that they were not at all busy, not a single person ever came out to offer refils on our coffee or to tell us why the food was taking so long. When the food finally did come out both orders of French toast were slightly burned, completley dry, hard and flavorless and was exactly like microwaved break in texture. Not to mention it was dry toast, absolutley no egg did, which is the entire point of french toast. Both of our egg dished had hollandaise sauce on them, and the sauce was extremely tart and vinegary and sour. There was also only about 2 tablespoons of the potato side dish on the plates. We decided to let my son eat his order of french toast because he was very hungry and fussy. But we called the waitress over to tell her we did not want the other order and why. We were gonna try to eat our food and eat around the sour sauce. A few minutes later the waitress came back and said that she talked to the manager and he said we would have to pay for both orders of the french toast regardless to what we tought of it becuase we ordered it. We asked to have the manager come over and speak to us directly . When he finally did come over he immediatley said that he sells hungreds of french toasts daily and that the food was fine. He barley would let us speak when we tried to get a word in edge-wise to tell him what the problem was. He just contiuted to argue and talk over us and tell us that it was not his fault that we ordered too much food. He then took our un-touched french toast away but then brought us the bill with it still on there. He never offered to remake our order properly or do anything to make our food right. NOR did be bother to notice that we had not touched either of our plates because we simply could not get past the sour sauce. We paid our bill and left all of the food there.
Every Kitchen has an off day and it can be recovered from with good customer service and simply correting the mistake. But the treatment from the manager, and customer service we received in general was absolutley unacceptable. This was our first and last time there. We will never go back nor would we recommend it to anyone!
I had the worst experience of my life at Chocolada. The attitude these people gave us was literally horrible. I really don't understand how come this place still exists. The management is poor, bad quality and unprofessional. Employers are simply rude with the customers. The food is not really good or in other words bad. That must be the result of attitude and evil spirit they put into it while cooking.
I would not recommend it even to my enemies.
BAD FOOD CLASSLESS MANAGMENT. The management in this cafe is the worst I've ever seen!!! My friend ordered a tuna sandwich and it smelled rotten, when we send it back they did not even apologize; the manager showed up when we were almost leaving and made excuses. I also saw the manager going to a table of people having coffee and without warning grabbing pepper from their table without saying anything ...DO NOT EAT their unless you want to risk getting poisoned and ruin your evening by witnessing classless behavior.
Very good pastries,friendly service. To pass the time before a hair apt. at Paul Miller's Salon down the road. I stopped in to pick up something for breakfast,Wow I was really surprised to find such decadent pastries tucked away in a quaint cafe.I purchased a spinach and feta pastry,awsome,also picked up a apple strudel and an almond croissant. The young woman that waited on me was friendly and engaged in the interaction. I didnt feel as if she was just putting things in a bag for me. I also purchased a soy milk strawberry smoothie ,no added sugar and it was great. I would say give this place a visit or two!!
The Best Food and Service!!!.
You must try the Salads and the stuffed Talapia yeap and I even hate that fish till I tried at Chocolada !!! the chef came to our table and asked how was our food !!! Just wonderful!
The entertainment was great !!! Ok Ok I know I have so much to say but the best the price !! where can you spend 20,00 for good food and wonderful Service !! Oh yeah did I mention the deserts !!! I don't dine inside because I would be tempted to eat all!! and you guys know I have to keep this figure !!!lol
Not just for desert. My party and I went to dinner here, we got great customer service. Our dinners were amazing. I highly reccommend the pork. Then we had a chocolate orange moose cake. Everything was great, I am told it is a great breakfast place as well. We will be back for more.
Awsome Place for Breakfast. Grat location in downtown Hollywood to have breakfast while most of the places in the area are closed. Excellente food, pastries, service and mostly the prices.
The worst service ever. I was there over the weekend to enjoy a dessert , we decided to sit outside big mistake. I ask for a cup of tea the cup stink like fish. The waitresses are rude & nasty and simple horrible. If you want to have a good evening don't spoil it by going to this place.
Good Desert, Horrible Service. This is a nice place to sit outside in the evening or afternoon for a desert. You should forget about quality or timely service. Desert is very good. Prices are low for the quality. The servers are not to sharp or quick. The best thing is to order big party cakes there (very inexpensive) and tastes great. Walnut Cream cake is my favourite.
I Couldn't Believe It...... THIS REALLY HAPPENNED!!! Briefly, I was served a cold coffee. My server dissappeared. I took my coffee to the counter, and asked for a hot coffee. I watched them put my cold coffee in the microwave. I asked for a manager multiple times, before the owner appeared. He said he would make me a hot coffee, and did, and then charged me for it. Not enough space to give the whole story.
