totally re-done. gulfrstream has been totally renovated and looks really good now. i dont live in the area anymore and was surprised to see how much it changed. it seems to be a great place to hang out with friends, have a drink, and even do some shopping at places like crate and barrel and west elm. i think its a welcome improvement to the area that needed something more than a local giant shopping mall. oh yeah, and they race horses there too.

The iconic horse racing venue is no longer just a seasonal place to wager on speedy ponies. It is now a year-round destination, complete with live entertainment and various dining and drinking outlets to woo gamblers to its fleet of slots, video poker machines, and Texas Hold 'Em poker tournaments. It still doesn't get any better than when the horses are running the track from winter through early spring, though, where more than 15,000 bet-riding spectators can fill the stands.
